The Valley View Foundation was formed in 2011 to restore the historic Hemet Theater in downtown Hemet, California. The Historic Hemet Theatre was built in 1920, survived earthquakes and fires, and operated as a movie theatre until 2018, when it transitioned into a Community Arts Center. Community members cited the vital need for a performing arts center. Valley View Foundation supports and uplifts local musicians and artists, while providing a gathering space for celebrating important events, such as prom nights and holiday performances.

Bringing Solar to Valley View Foundation and The Historic Hemet Theatre

The Valley View Foundation solar installation remains underway. RE-volv staff will work with an accredited installer to mount a 26 kW solar system on the roof of the Historic Hemet Theatre. This solar system will save them more than $472,700  on electricity bills over the lifetime of the system while removing 1.6 million pounds of emissions from entering the atmosphere. With the savings from going solar with RE-volv, the nonprofit can invest these savings into expanding its programing for families, teens, and adults.
