Bringing Solar Power to Hope United

Hope United went solar with RE-volv through a 27 kW solar system that will avoid more than 1.5 million pounds of emissions from entering the atmosphere and will save Hope United more than $77,000 off the cost of their electricity bills throughout the system’s lifetime! By going solar with RE-volv, Hope Untied was able to go solar for $0 down, allowing the church to go solar without any upfront costs. Overtime, as Hope United pays back RE-volv for their solar system, their monthly payments will be put into RE-volv’s Solar Seed Fund, a revolving fund for solar that we use to help more nonprofits across the country go solar.

Hope United Methodist Church went solar with RE-volv in June 2020. John Current, the Church Pastor at Hope United Methodist Church says, “We’re in the middle of the Coronavirus pandemic but work still goes on and we’re looking forward and moving forward even in the installation of this project. From our perspective, this effort to let us use the power of the sun is defending God’s creation. We’re leading our whole community in the use of alternative fuels.”
