About Northstar Club Members Association

Northstar Club is located in Truckee, California and is an 18 unit, fractional ownership property with approximately 150 members. The property’s location offers members recreational opportunities at nearby ski mountains and close access to Lake Tahoe.

Going Solar with RE-volv

The dynamic ownership model of Northstar Club made it incredibly challenging for the club to find an avenue towards going solar. The 150 members agreed that financing a Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) through RE-volv was their only path forward to achieving their goal of solarizing their property with clean, renewable energy. 

Part of RE-volv's mission is to develop solar projects which would otherwise not be developed. By going solar with RE-volv, Northstar Club was able to bring solar to their organization, removing 4,678,400 pounds of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere over the life of the solar system. As Northstar pays back RE-volv for the cost of the solar array over time, their monthly PPA payments will be added to RE-volv’s Solar Seed Fund, a fund that is used to bring solar to nonprofits across the country!
